A short story and installation made for an art project.
Fragment:
"They said they would wait for me at the station. I was to look for a red balloon. In the days before I fantasized about that balloon at least as much as about its owners, captivated by the question: would it be a mere tool for identifica-
tion or part of a bigger plan? And what bigger plan?
Instead of them waiting for me, I was on the lookout for them. I suppose it had as much to do with my excessive punctuality as with their tardiness. When they finally came through the station doors I waited a few seconds to signal my presence. I followed their eyes, scanning the crowd looking for that unknown ally. For a moment I could feel the vulnerability of the ignorant and uninformed."
