NINA GLOCKNER & AYUMI HIGUCHI
NOTE BODIES, MOVE SCORES
For NOTE BODIES, MOVE SCORES, artist and publisher Nina Glockner and graphic designer Ayumi Higuchi literally dismantle two collaboratively made publications: Choreographed by the Other (2016) and Portrait of a Collective Body (2022). With a selection of books from different disciplines such as body practices, games, sociology, data visualisation, and architecture they explore how scores can function as communication tools between cognition and behaviour, abstraction and subjectivity, performance and printed matter. By analysing scores in relation to what they can enable or what they impose, they explore how ‘time’ and ‘space’ can be transformed to a common two-dimensional ground.
