​This book invites readers to perform a series of actions using its own pages. These actions explore sound and listening, evoking touch, intimacy, relation, and loss. 
At times, the actions focus on the production of sound, friction, and contact. At other times, the pages become elements of disturbance, surprise, and noise. At still other times, the actions involve leaving the pages behind, abandoning them, or witnessing their disappearance.
By engaging with presence, proximity, and distance, the actions propose moments of exploration, contemplation, and intervention, working with sound on both a material and conceptual level.
The ephemeral character of the actions is reflected in the form and binding of the book. The binding requires the reader to tear out each page in order to access the next action, resulting in the gradual unbinding of the book. This choice reflects the embodiment of experience and its preservation as lived knowledge, rather than as a dormant
repository on a bookshelf.​
